Commissions

Pastoral Council

Pastoral Council is responsible for strategic planning and the advancement of parish life and the broad vision of who we are and where we are going as a parish. Council prayerfully: 1) discerns the needs of the parish and develops an effective parish pastoral plan to administer the annual parish pastoral assembly, 2) evaluates progress toward agreed parish goals and objectives and updates the plan, 3) serves as a vehicle of dialogue and communication with all the parish committees, and 4) makes recommendations to the Pastor and his staff on matters relating to the parish mission and the pastoral plan. Members include pastor, pastoral staff, and nine parishioners discerned for parish leadership at the Discernment Evening in May. Members serve as liaisons to the Education Commission, Spiritual Development, Parish Activities and Christian Service Committees and Finance Commission. Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of the month.

The following four Commission/Committees share a common meeting night, the second Monday of the month. They begin with prayer and faith sharing led by one of the groups, then divide for their individual meetings. Parish Council Liaisons attend this meeting.
